Our team consists of industry veterans with over a combined 50+ years’ experience, spanning all aspects of production, payroll and technology.

EPIC was created as a joint venture between the founders of the industry’s premier background payroll company, and founder of the industry’s first ever digital start work, voucher and background actor management platform.

Taking that experience, we built a solution to help make our own lives easier. A solution for the daily, AND unexpected…EPIC has streamlined and automated the background actor process for productions daily work and payroll, on set and in the office.

Comprehensive Documentation Management and Reporting

EPIC allows for a wide range of paperwork associated with background actors, including NDAs, photo releases, arbitration agreements, anti-harassment certification, state residency forms and federal and state employment payroll documents like I-9s and W-4s. In addition to standard Breakdown and Hot Cost Reports, we can customize any reports or project documents a production may require.

Automated Calculations

The advanced calculation engine and smart logic in EPIC automates the calculation of union and non union vouchers, penalties, premiums, bumps, meals and other financial aspects, which minimizes errors and provides accurate and reliable data. Vouchers, Breakdowns and Hot Cost Reports are all calculated in real time.

Integration with Payroll Company

Full integration with Elevate payroll allows for a seamless connection between EPIC and payroll processes, ensuring that the platform supports payroll-related tasks comprehensively and accurately. EPIC is able to integrate with other payroll companies as well.

Training, Account Management and Tech Support

The EPIC team operates as an extension of every production. Training on the system, account management and tech support, all included as part of our services, is just one more thing that sets EPIC apart from other digital platforms. Every production is assigned a team that includes a dedicated account manager for the life of the production. Training is provided for all production teams who will be utilizing the system (Casting, AD/PAs, Production Accounting). EPIC has a team of technical support staff and a support ticketing system to assist background actors with any needs.
